Avian colibacillosis is a disease caused by pathogenic strains of Escherichia coli (APEC) that constitutes a serious problem in animal health. In this disorder, septicaemia is the most important syndrome because of the high morbidity and mortality it causes.

Colibacillosis is the disease most frequently documented in poultry diseases worldwide surveys and the commonest cause of condemnation at Flagella abattoirs. For instance, 43% of the condemned broiler carcasses in processing plants are due to colisepticaemias. 

In poultry for fattening it causes serious losses due to: 

• Delay in development
• Increase in feed conversion rate
• Mortality rate increase 
• Increase in the number of rejected birds
• Increase of condemnations at abattoirs 

In poultry for laying and breeders:

• Decrease in egg production
• Decrease in hatchability 
• Increase in mortality and rejected birds rates

Disease can be horizontally transmitted through contaminated faeces, water, contaminated material or the environment or vertically transmitted through parent flock.

GENERAL EFFECTS OF HIDRACOLI B

HIDRACOLI B maintains a proven acidifying and bactericidal activity against E. coli and Salmonella. In addition, the plant extracts and restorative ingredients drastically reduce mortality during colibacillosis and salmonellosis outbreaks.

The inclusion of electrolytes and restorative ingredients help to minimise injuries in case of the onset of diseases, making the birds less susceptible.

HIDRACOLI B contains hepatoprotectors that increase the defence capabilities of the birds against primary diseases, avoiding the development of secondary colibacillosis.

The use of HIDRACOLI B reduces the amount of excreted bacteria through faeces reducing the risk of disease dissemination.

HIDRACOLI B helps to control primary intestinal diseases that act as trigger of colibacillosis in birds.

In addition, the product has the following positive secondary effects:

COMPOSITION

HIDRACOLI B is made of organic acids, electrolytes, surfactants, technical components and plant extracts with bactericide and liver protector activity.
